Love seat make-over

"We were about to buy a new love seat because of the tears in the leather due to movie and sports watching on TV-:). I found this on Amazon - I ordered one to try and it looked great covering the major tears. I then ordered 2 more sheets and voila, all the tears are now covered. Worked perfectly for me!

"This repair patch worked great. I cut the full patch into 4 long strips and was able to apply them to repair large intentional rips somebody had put under some arm rests (they removed some padding). The patch was very supple after applying (not stiff) and the adhesive bond strength was very good to the leather material. Fortunately, I was able to not only apply the patch on the leather surface but also press them down against the couch frame to ensure a very strong bond. Worked like a charm for my particular use case."

INSTRUCTIONS

	Damaged area should be clean, dry, and oil-free. We suggest using isopropyl alcohol to clean the surface. Test a small area to avoid discoloration or damage. Dilute with water if needed.
	Cut the patch to the desired shape, slightly rounding any pointed corners.
	Remove the backing paper and use a blow-dryer to soften the adhesive side. Adding heat significantly increases the adhesive's bond.
	Place the patch to the desired area. Apply pressure to maximize the bond. Adhesive strengthens over the first 24 hours.

Pelle Patch is weather-resistant, making it suitable for use indoors or outdoors.

What temperature should I apply the patch?

Apply the patch at a temperature between 50°F and 95°F (10°C and 35°C) for optimal adhesion.

Do I need to clean the surface before applying the patch?

A clean surface ensures that dirt, oils, and other contaminants won't interfere with adhesive bonding. Adhesive may not stick well without this step. We suggest using isopropyl alcohol to clean the surface. Test a small area to avoid discoloration or damage. Dilute with water if needed.

Do I need to use heat to apply the patch?

No, you do not need to use heat to apply our patch. However, adding heat significantly increases the adhesive's bond.

Can I sit on the patch once applied?

Yes, note that the adhesive strengthens over the first 24 hours, so the longer you wait, the better the adhesion will be.

Can I use glue to strengthen peeling edges?

Yes, you can use cyanoacrylate glue on peeling edges. However, this may create a permanent bond, and removing the patch later may damage the surface.

Can I remove the patch once it is applied?

Adhesive glue is strong so removing the patch may be difficult and leave an adhesive residue.

How do I remove adhesive residue from the surface?

Adhesive residue can be removed by rolling it with your finger or using isopropyl alcohol. Test a small area to avoid discoloration or damage. Dilute with water if needed.
